Additional information about the production: Join the Missoula Children’s Theatre and more than 50 local students in the production of “The Amazing Adventures of Robinson Crusoe,” loosely inspired by Daniel Defoe’s novel, “Robinson Crusoe.” Purposely varying from the plot of Defoe’s novel, this performance tells the story of Robinson Crusoe’s island, years after his sole companion, a goat named Wilson, and Crusoe were shipwrecked. We arrive on Robinson Crusoe’s island to find the island hassurprisingly turned into a tourist destination centered around a lovable singing leopard, a tribe of natives known for their colorful coifs, Friday’s Seaside Resort and of course, the legend of Robinson Crusoe. The entire population of the island, including a herd of goats, an all-animal band, Friday and his family and the inevitable hula-dancing chameleons, discover that their differences need not stand in the way of their friendships.
