Greeley Arts Legacy Honors

The Greeley Arts Legacy organization is proud to announce its first class of recipients. The Arts Legacy is honoring five individuals and one organization, all of whom have made significant and lasting contributions to the excellence of the arts in Greeley. In their honor, an engraved stone stele will be placed in the Hall of Fame Park outside the Union Colony Civic Center.

The award recognizes and acknowledges individuals and groups from all areas of the arts, including (but not limited to) Visual, Performing, Literary, Education, Leadership, Benefactors, and Creatives. The first class of honorees was selected through a nomination process which was open to the public. Over 25 names were submitted, from which a Selection Committee, comprised of Board and at-large members, narrowed the finalists to 10. The full Board chose the final six for induction.

The 2019 Inaugural Class is:

Helen Langworthy (Theatre)

Jil Rosentrater (Leadership)

Ruth Savig (Visual Art)

Howard Skinner (Music)

Bob Tointon (Benefactor)

The Greeley Philharmonic Orchestra (Music) The induction event will be held Friday, October 4th at the Two Rivers Lounge and the Hensel-Phelps Theatre in the Union Colony Civic Center, downtown Greeley. A reception begins at 6:30 p.m. in the Lounge, with the ceremony following at 7:00 p.m. in the Theatre.
